V12 Construction

I glued the second transom laminate on after the fact. To get the piece to have even pressure, my father-in-law made up these devices. They really do the trick for when you don't have really long armed clamps. The hardwood version works better. I snapped a few of the doug. fir ones.

Clamping down on the middle of the wooden arms puts a ton of pressure down all the way to the bottom of the transom. Notice the block of wood at the bottom of the wooden arms (it is partially obscured by the plastic. The plastic keeps any overspill from glueing the block of wood to the transom)

A few other clamps finish off the job!
